This is how the mind reacts to new situations. actions, activities.
So, indulge yourself you are doing ok’
You procrastinate because it’s painfull to do something new, you can feel some discomfort
Once you feel the pain, you want to do somehing more pleasant.
The belief is that if I keep doing this task I will experience pain all the way but this is only in your mind, Once you start and overcome the substantial common pain and discomfort you get tuned into the tasks and the pain goes away.
The longer you stay in that state the longer you overuse your energy and create negative emotions around it: maybe guilt, feeling no good about yourself, doubting yourself….
Fun Fact: In reality, we are always learning, a part of the brain, called the Amygdala, integrates cognition and emotion all the time, so every new experiences you are leaving is actually new datas that are stored in your brain.
If you think that by reading a book you will get the elements without practicing, you are only fooling yourself. It requires practicing and getting familiar with the materials to master a field.
Most people can concentrate on only one activity at a time.
> Multitasking is the ability to switch between tasks. Trying to do two things at the time is not efficent.
